Post-Abortion Pregnancy Test: Understanding Positive Results

i had an abortion about a month ago and i went to the doctor about a week ago and my doctor said my pregnancy test was negative,i took a frist response home pregnancy test tonight that was positive.i have had unprotected sex since the abortion,he did pull out even tho i know it is possible to get pregnant.i also know that i am a pretty fertile girl beins ive been pregnant 3 times in the past 4 years.what is the likely hood that i am pregnant again?

It's possible that you are pregnant again, but it is also possible that the pregnancy test is incorrect, or is very sensitive and picking up hormones from your previous pregnancy.  (It may be more sensitive than the one they used in the doctor's office). The best thing would be to get another pregnancy test - get the ones with two lines - not the digital ones that have words - and check again.  If it is a faint line, repeat it in one week.  If it is a strong positive, you could be pregnant again, and will have to see a doctor to assess whether this is a new pregnancy.
