Pregnancy Concerns: Missed Period & Home Test Uncertainty - Expert Advice

dear dr. i just want to ask if im pregnant or not. i gave birth last april 2008 and my first period was january 28-31 and i dont take pills..wat we used is a withdrawal method,is it safe?until now i mised my period.my husband bought a kit and it indicates their a one line and the other is not clear but it has blurred line..am i preggy?...if i am i want to abort it, what is the safest way to do it and med.?without consulting a doctor.

Dear Lena - the first thing is to see if you are really pregnant.  Repeat the test in one week.  Make sure to use the same test with two lines on it (not words). In one week, the test should be more obvious.  There should be two clear lines to show you are pregnant.
