AnswerYou should see your doctor immediately. Though your menstrual cycle is going to be unpredictable for 3-4 months after an abortion, you should generally have your period within 10 weeks of having the abortion. If it has not yet been 10 weeks, you can wait for your period. Don't worry if it's very light or spotty, that's normal - as long as you have some bleeding for more than one day it's good.
Your other symptoms are perfectly normal. There are still a lot of pregnancy hormones left in your system, which can take up to six months to fully go away, and they cause all kinds of pregnancy-like symptoms in you like breast tenderness, nausea, stomach cramps, backaches, frequent urination, vaginal discharges etc. The weight gain probably is not caused by this, but that's nothing to worry about - just eat healthfully and exercise more. The vaginal disharge could be the result of a vaginal infection, for which you should also see a doctor.
There is a slight chance that your abortion was incomplete and that some products of conception have remained in your uterus. This is very unlikely, since the longer the matter stays in your uterus, the greater your chances of serious symptoms like very high and persistent fever caused by infection. However, if your vaginal discharge is indeed very bad smelling it could be a sign of infection within the uterus as well. So again, my advice to you is to immediately see a doctor.
Good luck, and let me know how it goes.
