FEBRUARY 16,2012 been to hospital there for abortion and i took 1 pill in hospital and they gave me another PILL called CYTOTEC and have to put it to my vagina FEBRUARY 18,2012 and 1st day more blood came out and feel something big blood came out on me when i pee but i ddnt check what is it, and i bleed for almost 2 weeks like they said but its just a small spot blood and after that i feel dizzy, feel sick every morning like im still pregnant but i ddnt bother to check why, because i read on internet that its normal because of the ABORTION PILL i took then its gone just for a week. after 3 weeks of my abortion i go back to philippines, and after 5 to 6 weeks am still waiting for my period to come because they said after 4 to 6 weeks after abortion, but my period is not yet coming and its almost 8 weeks and i am worried that time so i decide to tke pregnancy test then its POSSITIVE,so i go to hospital right away MARCH 14,2012 and tell them about abortion even abortion here in my country is not allowed,so my doctor ask me for ULTRASOUND,and she said theres still hve live baby in my stomach and i am 17 weeks pregnant goin to 18 weeks of pregnancy so she said abortion is failed. so since i was here in my country so abortion is not allowed so i dnt have choice.continue my pregnancy..so my wonder is HOW COME THE ABORTION IS FAILED EVEN I BLEED FOR ALMOST 2 WEEKS? thats my wonder, i am so worried about the baby when i gave birth,is there a chance to gve birth for a normal and healthy baby after the failed abortion i took? i am thinking and worried about the baby everyday that hope baby is fine after the failed abortion.please answer me on my email also.marzanmelanie at gmail dot com.
HOPE YOU ANSWER MY EMAIL..
Have a nice day to you..
AnswerYou can have a failed medical abortion. That is why we always have patients come in for an ultrasound 1 to 2 weeks after taking the medication. You can have bleeding but it sounds like the bleeding was not enough to pass the pregnancy. The information I have says there can be risks but some fetuses have no problems. We are now using less medication 200 mg instead of 600mg so the risk may be lower. You need to see a geneticist. It is not recommended to continue a pregnancy after a medical abortion. You may consider a second opinion. Women on Waves or other sites may be helpful.
