Post-Abortion Bleeding: What to Expect & When to See a Doctor

Hey, My names erin, and im 20 years old. Ok, I dont know what youre for or against. But as of June 15th, I was 7 weeks pregnant, and I had an abortion. It is now June 21. I woke up with what im hoping is my period. Is this normal? or should i go see a doctor?

Sometimes, after an elective abortion, you may have some bleeding for a few days. If you had the abortion, stopped bleeding, and then started bleeding seven days later, it is probably your next period. If it does not last longer than 10 days, you do not need to do anything special. If the bleeding appears abnormal (heavier than a normal period) you should check with your doctor.
