Massage Therapy for Lyme Disease: Safe Pressure & Techniques

Question
my father is being treated for lyme disease and the doctor has recommended massage and sauna treatment but has been able to fit him in for this to be done.  My daughter has taken a classes on massage therapy.  This weekend we want to beable to do this for him.  Is there any certain pressure to be applie.  Not deep muscle?  Any help would be appreciated since we don't want to cause harm.
Thank you
vicki

Answer
Hi Vicki,

Ok so here's what I can tell you. When massaging with lyme disease, pressure doesn't matter because it won't spread. If he is having any of the signs/ symptoms of during the massage of right before I would not recommened massage until let's say "the fever" has diminished. Everything should be fine. Good luck!
