Dear Harry,

Any person with cancer should always get their doctors permission before having massage therapy. Once approval is obtained, it is best to work with a licensed massage therapist who has trained in this area.

That said, it best to have a massage about 3-4 days before chemotherapy. If this isn't possible then wait at least 48 hours after chemotherapy before getting a massage.

The basic reason for this is: massage increases circulation and facilitates the removal of toxins. Therefore, you do not want to "rush" the drugs through your system.
