Split Toenails: Causes, Treatment & Regrowth

My little toe nails on both feet split into two. I was getting a pedicure and the lady picked the smaller bits off. They haven't grown back. Would they grow back and what can I do to help it. The split was been present for quite some time.

I'm sorry but it is very difficult to answer this question without having looked at you nail. Usually the nail grows back if there is no damage done to the matrix, wich in this case i guess there isn't. I also do not know is this is painfull or if it is just an aestetical thing. If it is not painfull i would advise you to wait a little longer and see what happens since toe nails can take a while to grow out, if it is painfull i would advise you to visit a doctor and get advice from him.
