QuestionSusana - Wow, you are a host of info! I figured I would ask the pro - I had the ibd permanent french gel nails applied for at least a year, by the same technician, and recently began having a burning, itching sensation after about 5 hours of application. When I would come home from the salon, the cuticle area would itch, (I would scratch, apply hydrocortizone) and tiny bumps would appear there within 12 hours. When i put my hands in warm water, they would be sensitive at the cuticle area as well. This lasted 1 day then no more itching until 2 weeks later for fill ins. I have removed them now and the nails did lift quite a bit from the beds, sometimes almost 1/2 way up to my cuticle. They looked mighy nasty till they grew back in.
Would you consider this an allergy? or can i try another form of perm french such as acrylic? I did just go back and tried tips with a linen wrap, and then they applied the dip your finger in powder/glue routine (what is that called?) But didnt like the lift factor at the tip once your nail grew out. What would you recommend? Just keeping to that technique and removing them when the nail grows and re apply tips? Thanks for any insight. Kate
AnswerI'm sorry but this is a very tricky question, it's is very hard to tell if this is an allergy or not, i would recomend that you visit a doctor and ask him,. If the simptoms persisted i would say it was allergy, but since you say they only last for a short period of time it is hard to tell.
Sorry i couldn't be more of assistance.
