Should Fingernails and Toenails Be Different Colors? Style Advice

Question
Is it "proper" to have your finger nails & toenails different colors? Like French manicure for hands & red toenail polish? Thanks.

Answer
In my personal opinion, it's BETTER to not match them!!

It's a pet peeve of mine when folks match their nails and toes AND clothing- What kind of statement is that making?  It's not very stylish, and it screams BORING! ;)

I think it's better if the colors are different, but still COMPLIMENTARY to each other.

Think fuchsia toes, light pink nails with a pearl shimmer, and a royal blue/purple dress.

Now I personally think that's pretty chic.

Or short black nails and toenails, silver slivers painted on the toes where the moons would be.

Or even a french mani with red toes. ;)

NEVER be afraid to mix it up color wise.  Just remember that less is more, and if it looks weird to you, the look  probably needs to be re-thought ;)  Try to keep the "cooler" shades together, as well as the "warmer."
