QuestionHi Sylvia, I have been doing nails for about 23 years. I use Creative Nail Design products along with several different brands of nail polish. I keep hearing about a product that the Asians use in their salons that gives an extremely hard glaze to the nails. so hard you have to file it off. (I do not use drills) I think it has a slight purple tint to it, (it is not CND super shiny) and I don't know if it is used with a light to set it or not. I called an Asian nail supply company and they said something about IVY or IBD. Can you help me?

I think what you mean is either a UV topcoat and Speed Finish from EzFlow or Acrylic Bright (IBD) which can be hardened by using a uv light but when you mentioned the extreme hard glaze I thought of the following products: The following brands have come out with a new liquid sealing off either gel or acrylic nails. ESN has Rapid Seal; IBD has Intense Seal and EzFlow has Finish It. They are all newer and better versions of the Utra Seal from IBD. You need a UV light though and the difference is that you do not have to remove the tacky residue or buff any more since the nail will have a shiny finish. The finished product is non porous so you need to file it away either by hand or by a machine using sanding bands and a mandrel bit.
