Hand Lamps: Two vs. Full Tunnel - Pros & Cons

Question
Hi Heather, I use two 9w hand lamps right now and they are starting to look old soooo I want to get new ones. As you know I live on a small Island and have no way to shop around. I was thinking about a full hand tunnel lamp(I will have to buy 2?) or a two hand lamp. Can you tell me the pros and cons on both. Thank you Georgia

Answer
Two hand lamps can cure two hands at once, which is nice, but then you have to sit there doing nothing during cure time.

A big factor here is going to be your product.  You really DO need to use the UV Lamp that was manufactured to go with the UV Gel system it was made for.  I know alot of techs will tell you that they use lamp a with product c with no problems, but what you don't see is undercuring, and that puts your client at risk for overexposure, and possibly an allergy.

So my recommendation for a lamp actually has nothing to do with how many hands you can get in it, or what the wattage is(wattage has nothing to do with UV Output either, by the way).  My recommendation for a lamp is to use the lamp that goes with your UV Gel system :)
