Choosing the Right Bulb Wattage for Nail Curing: A Guide for Nail Tech Students
QuestionI am a current Nail-Tech. student, my class mate had a bulb from her table lamp burst during a service, we realized the lamp called for no higher than a 60 watt bulb and we were using 100 watts, but we use no odor product and understood that we needed a higher watt to help in the the curing process, what can you tell us of this subject and further help us to use your advice as a point of reference for future students. We are the first Nail Tech. class at our school. Thank You.
AnswerHi,
First always follow the recommendation on the box for lamps. I'm glad noone was hurt in this process.
The only way you can solve this problem is get the correct lamp for the product you are using.
usually a 4 bulb lamp each bulb being at 9 watts each does the trick for almost all products on the market. Check with the product manufacturer, and see if you can leave the hand in a less powerful lamp for a longer period of time if that would work.just to get you through till you can get a new lamp.
Hope this helps.
