Nail Extension Pain: What to Expect & Post-Application Care

I had extensions put one today she used a piece of wrap some gel and some powder.  I felt no pain at all during the process but now I am noticing that my nail beds whenever I touch anything or when I touch my nails

some products can shrink excessively after application during what is called "polymerisation".
This can take upto 48 hrs.
The technician may have filed too much on your natural nail, or applied tips that were too small.
They may also have used their product too wet which would cause it to shrink too much too quickly.
Any or all of these things may be causing your pain.
If the pain eases after 48 hrs, things should settle down, but if not return to the salon to have them removed and looked at by somebody with lots of experience.

If they settle, mention the problem to the tech when you return for maintenance so that hopefully they can resolve the problem.

The only other possibility would be if the nails were too long and/or too thick?
