Questionwhat is the main reason clients get air bubbles in their acrylics. Some get them all the time some only sometimes and some hardly ever. Also if l am getting acrylic stuck in my brush while applying acrylic to the nail is it because my brush is too wet.
AnswerSounds like you need some work on your mix ratio :)
Air bubbles are usually from working with too DRY a mix, although there are times when working too wet will also do it.
When you pick up your bead, is it literally dripping off your brush? Or is does it still have dry powder attached to it?
You want to pick up your bead, count to 3, and have a bead that looks like frosted glass. For opaque powders (white, colored, etc.) you want it to resemble an orange peel.
Now take your perfect bead, and place it on a tip. Does it dome slightly? Then you are still right on. If it isn't moving at all, it's too dry. If you see a wet ring around it, it's too wet.
It's all trial and error, and I check my mix ratio at the beginning of every work day- it can be affected by humidity, seasons changing, etc.
