Preventing Nail Peeling: Choosing the Right Nail File

My manicurist is using a very coarse nail file to file my nails. I do not have artifictal nails they are natural.  Lately my nails have started peeling in big layers.  Is this caused my her coarse nail file?  or is this caused by something else?

Hi there. It could be from the file she is using or something else. I would purchase a gentler file yourself at your local beauty supply store such as sally's or salon product retailer and bring it with you for her to use. This is great for you too since you can keep it in case of a touch up(:
