Why is IBD Gel Causing a Burning Sensation During Curing?

Hi there,
I have been using IBD gel on my two girlfriends.  I recently completed a nail course so I am competent in the application but what I have found is that when I cure the gel under my lamp my friends are complaining that there is quite a burning sensation, not just a little but a lot, making them want to pull their hands away from the lamp.
It doesn't happen immediately, but about 10 seconds into the curing time and then it goes away after about 5 seconds or so.
I have felt this when doing my own nails too.
When I was using the Calgel system, this was never a problem.
Could my lamp be too strong for IBD or is it just this product ?  
Please advise.

Being competent is a pro but not the answer to the problem.

It is not the lamp unless it is above 36 watts which I refer to as toasters. The problem might be that you are applying the gel too thick in a row. The chemical reaction to cure the IBD gel becoming hard might cause the burning sensation. The solution would be applying thinner layers and in case it still happens take the hand out of the lamp and wait until it has cooled down. Some people are more sensitive to the heat than others but in general IBD does not cause reactions as severe as you describe. There is no real harm involved with the burning sensation unless you will keep it under the lamp too long.
