Persistent Skin Burning Sensation: Causes & Relief

Question
QUESTION: I have been experiencing a burning sensation in my skin for the past 4 - 5 years.  It burns on my arms, legs, upper back, & face.  It even causes my eyes to burn and turn red.  I have been to the doctor, but they have been of no help at all.  I do at times, have problems with my lower back and was wondering if this could be the cause.  I am 47 years and I am starting to experience symptons of menopause, not sure if this could be from that either.  Any advice would be greatly appreciated and would could be done to get rid of this sensation.

ANSWER: donna;

this sounds like it could be from some nerve disorder,i have heard of some women having this during menopause,so indeed it could be.
what kind of back problems do you have? any medications?

QUESTION: Hi Catherine,

Thank you for the quick response.  I have been having problems, actually, more with my neck.  It seems to hurt a lot and when I turn my head, it is constantly making noises.  It sounds like they are grinding together.

Answer
donna;

well maybe its time to have that checked out,you dont want any thing to happen to your neck,this protects your brain stem.

this could be from  a ruptured disk,or something with your vertebrae.

please have this checked out;
