QuestionHi Lynnette! I've decided to make an investment in my nails just like I would my hair or facial waxing. I have an appt at a new nail shop in downtown Chicago. I recently got bamboozled at a NSS when I asked for gel and they gave me powder and liquid and then a gel topcoat and proceeded to charge me $42. Now I'm going to get the pink and whites at the new shop. They use Entity products for pink and whites. Could you explain how the technique works and if the Entity products are good or special in some way? Also, they charge extra for sculpting; what's that and how does the nail look without sculpting. Also, are tips used with the Entity pink and white? They charge extra for one more add on but I can't recall what it is. The website is www.nailcessity.com could you take a look and tell me if it sounds good? Thanks in advance!!!
AnswerHola Lisa,
I am glad you realized that the chop shops took you over.
I wonder who you are going to in Chicago. I know a few techs there and some of them use Entity.
Entity is a great product. I use it too.
Some techs charge more to sculpt because it takes more time. Some clients need sculpting because the tips do not fit correctly. That is why I always tell new clients that they need to come in for me to be able to determine what I will do for them.
I am sure that your nails will look beautiful with the sculpting. Here is a tip-- relax your hands and try not to move them so you can see what the tech is doing. I have a very hard time when clients do this and the smile line is not as nice.
Tips can be used with Entity. Some techs sculpt and others rely on tips. There is NO difference in how the product will perform.
The extra add on is likely the top coat. I highly recommend getting that as it keeps the nails a high gloss shine for two weeks. It is gorgeous. Ok-- I see they are buffing to a high shine for the extra money. Ask them if you can take home the buffer for that extra $5.
Let me know how you make out...
buenos dias,
Lynnette
