Hi Karen,
I can't seem to be able to read your reply to my follow up question. I'd love to blame it on the puter, but alas, I'm known by my puter friends as the "puter dummy", so....
Could you answer me by email? I'm trying very hard to gather as much info as possible before I start making waves...LOL I'm not going to wait 6 months for any kind of follow up with a doctor.
Thanks so very much,
Sue kismetcommand@aol.com

Dear Sue, I would but I can't so I have to use this web site to answer questions and follow-ups.... You talk about computer dummies, well I must be the FIRST on that list... My outgoing e-mail thingy crashed and I can't use it and can't figure how to get it going again and by daughter is to busy with college and work to give me a hand...
I answer to many question per day, that I can often get them confused, but it my memory supports me correctly, I believe you said you were going to a GYN regarding a cervical polyp and I told you that was good because these types of things need to be biopsied to make sure they are NOT cancer.... I also told you to have the GYN re-check the lump in your armpit and also to check the lump in your lymph node in the neck area... Also, you need to take the mammogram FILM and the radiology report to that visit for the GYN to see and read....
I also said the YOU yourself can go to the hospital or clinic where you had the mammogram done and go to the medical records department and sign a release and get your own copy of this radiology report instead of having to depend on the doctor or office staff to send you one....
I agree, you should NOT wait 6 months for a follow-up...
thank you, karen
Hi Karen,
If you link like you just did, I'm good to go. The N.P. has had the results since 2-8 and I haven't gotten a referral as of yet. I can't see a doc unless SHE gives the referral. Right now I'm gathering research and will have my daughter print it to take to the office to show her if she has not acted by March 1. I can't feel the axillary node so I have no idea what it's doing. The other I can feel and keep tabs on.
I can't thank you enough. It means so much to have your instincts varified. I knew this is not something to just sit and wait on for 6 months. If it quits snowing, I'll make a run to get a copy of the radiologist report tomorrow.
Again, thank you for helping me,
Sue
AnswerDear Sue, Your N.P. or her office staff have had PLENTY of time to call a doctor and get a referral made and get you an appointment with this GYN.... You really do need this second opinion and also need to get that cervical polyp removed and biopsied.... Tomorrow will be 2 weeks and if sounds like someone at the office or the N.P. has dropped the ball and not even called for a referral.... I would call the N.P.'s office and ask about the referral before March 1st... This way if someone has dropped the ball, you are not waiting another week before calling and then them waiting again to make ther referral....
When you get the radiology report, let me know what ALL is said in the report.... SNOW, well I was born and raised in Indiana, now in Georgia, and I really MISS the snow at times..
thank you, karen
