QuestionI have had weak/thin nails always. Nails to me are like diets for some. I feel I have tried it all. Can you direct me with proper questions to ask technicians? Nail Salons are EVERYWHERE. I do not like the thick monster claws. As I would like to enhance the appearance of my nails, I am searching for the most natural look. Is that a certain type of nail arylic vs. gel. I really do not know the differences. My nails were beautiful during pregancy and even though I have tried to maintain via prenatals, vitamins, daily polishing, I just can't beat my body's preference of weak, thin, peeling nails. I have tried many times during the past 15 yrs with different salons and and hoping I just haven't found the right person/nail regimine. I am willing to dedicate time/care. I do have my hands in water / garden A LOT and am faithful to wear gloves. Where do I start? Am I a lost cause? Am I asking something that is truely unrealistic? Thank you in advance for your time.

AnswerWell, if you are looking for a long term solution and if you've tryed all those thing before, and i can see you take good care of your nails i think perhaps nail enhancements (such as gel, acrylic or fiberglass) are the way to go.
Let me tell you, enhancements don't have to look as claws, in fact they should never look like this, they should have a natural look, being thin yet strong. And shouldn't be exagerated in lenght. About choosing the right type of enhancements i think you should probably search for a good tech first, avoid discount shops were hygiene is neglected, poor aplication methods and unbranded prducts are used. Search for a good, qualified and experienced tech using good brands and she will advise you on what systems is more suited for you. All systems are from the acrylic family, they differ mostly on the application method and they have some properties that somethimes can be more suited for some clients than other but rarely is one system not recommended.
Let me know how it goes.
Hope i could help.
