Best Acrylic Nail Products: Expert Recommendations for Nail Technicians

Hello Karen, I recently earned my nail tech license and have only use one brand of acrylic products and I am not happy with it. (OPI Clarite) Can you give me any suggestions on a good brand to try? Anything will help

Hi Megan,

I understand that you are using OPI Clarite' and not happy with it. In my 17 years of doing nails I have used many kinds(even some that are no longer around) I am currently using CND Rentention liqiud and CND Powder( which their are a few types of). I like them because it self levels and the primer is in the liquid. I have used OPI Clarite' when I was in a spa because there was no odor, I didn't like it because you had to use it so dry and I had product break down. OPI has other products if you want to stay with them. My recommendation would be to get a bunch of different kits from various manufacturers and play with them till you find one or more you like and then take a class and learn as much as you can about the product. The more you hone your skills then it won't really matter what product it is you will be able to work with anything out there.
