Actor's Guide: Managing Skin Concerns on a Minimal Budget for a Mini-Series

Question
Hi,
I'm a guy, and I'm planning to be an actor in a mini-series.  There's no makeup artist (I'm the producer, director, etc.)

The filming will be in about 1-2 months.  I'm on a really tight budget (under $30).  I had a history of rosacea, and am only recently getting better.  I have acne scars, and my lips blister a lot.

Following the directions of a dermatologist, I'm using sulfur soap in the morning and Neutrogena in the evening for the face, and I'm using Retin-A to bring out the stuff from inside.

I'm washing my hair with Head and Shoulder and Selsun Blue, interchanged with Nioxin (my hair is naturally thin).

So is there anything inexpensive and non-irritating which can help me look better on filming day?  It can be a certain skin-care regimen and/or makeup.

Answer
Hello Kevin,

I had to take time to think of the best and cheapest way to help you. And here is what I can suggest that would fit your requirements and needs.
- stop using Retin-A as Tretinoin has bad side effects which could ruin your skin for the shooting. Instead, get a small sample of Rosa Mosqueta from Aubrey Organics and use a bit on your face mornings and evenings
- find a cheap natural shampoo and do Apple cider vinegar rinses (dilute it 1:1 in water) every time you shampoo. throw away your anti-dandruff shampoos
- drastically clean up your diet by following the clean diet:

- and do a detox with Green Clay powder:

You can find what Green Clay can do in this article:

- drink plenty of water and Green Tea. Stop coffee and alcohol
- if you're up to it, you can take Burdock extract to help your skin even further:

I guarantee your skin will look much much better. The question is whether you're ready to do the changes required to get there. But once again, this is only my (expert) opinion. whatever you chose to do, I wish you the very best for your project and hope you'll have a lot of fun doing it.

I hope you find this answer helpful.
Have a beautiful day,
Take good care
