Finding the Best Jewelry Deals: Expert Advice & Online Options

I'm trying to find the place to get the best buy on jewelry. I'm pretty sure the jewelry store is not it. I've gone through tons of on-line dealers and some seem better than the local store. However, I think the best buys may be QVC on tv, however, one can only stand to sit and watch for so long. I would appreciate your opinion. I'm looking to spend about $700 for my wife on our anniversary, and I'm no judge of this stuff. Thanks in advance.
