Exfoliate First or Steam First? Best Facial Skin Care Routine

Is it better to exfoliate the face first and then steam the face to open pores or vice versa? Or is it better to not do both in the same day? Thanks

Hi, thanks for your question.

Personally, I exfoliate before steaming mainly due to the fact that I steam when I am extracting so working with a clean surface is essential. Please be mindful of over exfoliation of the face as it can cause the skin to thicken over time and give you the exact opposite effect you are seeking. Don't do it more than once a week (regardless of what the bottle says!)

There is no need to do them on alternate days, one has no effect on the other
