Best Hair Cutting Techniques for Straight Hair: A Guide

Question
QUESTION: hey Cleo this is Bryce again.  i was wondering what the best way to cut straight hair.  my dad has straight hair and i have the hardest time giving him a clean cut.  i have the oster 76 classics with sizes 1, 1A, and 1 1/2 blades.  thanks again for ur tips.

ANSWER: Hello again Bryce well first let me say that you need to add a 2 with your collection especially cutting someone with straight how long is his hair that he wears after a cut it is the same as cutting anyone else hair if your doing a fade you must go in steps like I said before. Hope this helps!

QUESTION: he keeps his hair low and even but when i cut it with the grain and 1A blade it leaves spots sometimes and it never seems as clean as it should.  should i cut against the grain or is there a special way to comb it.  thanks again for the replies.

Answer
Oh I see now well  first you don't cut with the grain on straight hair always go against. when I cut straight hair I usually use my 2 it will take it down low like a buzz. but if he wears it even lower try a 1 1/2 not low enough! 1A but always cut against the grain you will get better results. You are on the right track but like I said invest in a 2 and hack away against the grain. One more thing with sraight hair when your done cutting missed spots usually  the hair tends to stand up and you may not be able to see them what works for me is when I am done step back and look at the hair at an angle and you should see them or just go over it again!
