Shears vs. Comb & Shears: Understanding Barber Scissors

QUESTION: heyyy cleoo i was just thinking i see many barbers with two types of scissors the regular shears and the scissors with teeth, i was wondering when are you suppose to use either one, and is it necessary to buy both, God bless....

ANSWER: Hello Admir some people do not like there hair cut with clippers this is the time when you would use the regular shears or if you are trying to get a line out that the clippers won't get you can use a comb and the shears to get it out, The other type of shears are called thinning shears which the name speaks for it self it thins the hair with out taking too much off also great for fading and doing bangs I would suggest getting both hope this helps any more questions feel free to ask.

Hello again Admir it is no bother to me this is why I am hair to help you it depends on how much the person wants off some people say a trim but they want half of the hair off in this case I use the regular shears if they want an actual trim I use my thinning shears you can get a very cheap brad about $20 each I am not sure the name but you can get them at atlantabarber.com I think they are $18.00 very cheap for shears but they work great most barbers I know uses them including myself hope this helps have any other questions feel free to ask again its not a bother.
