Managing Stomach Sensitivity & B12 Deficiency: Diet & Exercise Tips

Question
I was diagnosed with B12 deficiency 3 months ago and am currently taking injections. I had surgery on my stomach 2 years that fixed my asofogus (Acid Reflux). My stomach is EXTRA sensitive to fresh fruit, multi vitamins, raw vegetables, etc. Is there a multi vitamin for those of us who have very sensitive stomachs. And any diet suggestions.

Also when I walk for exercise my stomach hurts worse the following day. And type of excersise upsets it. I used to run dailey till 10 years ago when the condition developed. What would be a good alternative. Yoga, Tai Chi?

Answer
Hi Todd,

Shift your focus - stop eating protein & carbs at the same time. Protein is digested by acids, carbs by alkalis, the attack each other. Eat meat, eat potatoes, same day, but a 2-4 hours apart. Eat something healthy as soon as you feel hungry.

No more refined sugar or flour. This is hard to figure out since it is added to everything.

1 oz of plain water for every 2 pounds of you every day, at least.

Yoga or my fav, Pilates! Skating, bicylcing, get into resistance/weight trianing once a week.
