Antique P-38 Fighter Worker Lapel Pin Value | Appraisal
QuestionMy grandmother build P-38 fighters during WWII. Lockheed gave brass lapel
pins to the workers. The pin is brass with a wing span of 2 cm and a length of
1.5. Upper wings have the 1940 era insignia of red star with white center
inside of a blue roundel. The post is threaded with a circular grip. I do not
believe these pins were every commercially sold. Could you estimate its
value?

AnswerHello Russell and thank you for your inquiry. Your pin sounds interesting and I imagine there are collectors for this type of item. I do not do appraisals but can suggest that you check one of the online appraisal services that work from a photograph. There are several online and you can find them by using online jewelry appraisers as a search in your browser search field. I'm sure one of them will be able to help you with a valuation. Good Luck !
