Sorry earlier for all the accidental reprints...oopsies. I enjoyed your answer though. I have yet another question, I am trying to find an inexpensive loose diamond. On the internet I found Fay Cullen, and they have 2 carat diamonds for about 3,500 and 4,500. one specifically I was thinking about is 2.1, E , I2, 8.31X8.24X5.05 ,61.1% ,G polish and symmetry, florescence FT. I know in the past you have stated that it is in the eye of the beholder, however, as long as the color is clear I am will to settle for the other qualities. My question is have you heard of Fay Cullen as a reputable loose diamond seller, does the diamond qualities seem sufficient, and do you know another reputable source to buy loose diamonds from (2 carat under 5,000).

I HAVE HAD NO DIRECT EXPERIENCE WITH 'FAY CULLEN' AND CANNOT RECOMEND OR NOT. WITH A STONE THAT LARGE THEY SHOULD HAVE A CERTIFICATE ON IT. THE BEST CERTIFICATE IS FROM G.I.A. OTHERS ARE E.G.L. ETC. IF IT IS A NATIONAL LAB IT IS PROBABLY CLOSE. YOU SHOULD TRY TO SEE AN I2. THIS MEANS YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO SEE THE FLAWS WITH THE NAKED EYE PRETTY EASILY. THE 'E' COLOR IS VERY GOOD AND THE 61% DEPTH PERCENTAGE MAKES THE STONE A LITTLE 'SPREAD' BUT ACCEPTABLE.
YOU MIGHT ALSO CHECK YAHUDA FOR STONES. THEY ARE WHAT IS KNOW AS CLARITY ENHANCED DIAMONDS AND ARE VERY INEXPENSIVE. THEY HAVE BEEN TREATED TO MAKE THE STONES LOOK GOOD. YOU AND NO ONE ELSE OUTSIDE OF A GEM LAB WOULD KNOW THAT THE STONE IS TREATED. AND IT IS PERMANENT. OTHER THAN THAT YOU MIGHT WANT TO HAVE SOME KIND OF GAURANTEE THAT YOU CAN RETURN THE STONE IF IT IS NOT ACCEPTABLE FROM FAUY CULLEN. ALSO EXPRESS YOUR CAUTION TO THEM AND ASK WHAT THEY CAN DO TO HELP EASE IT. YOUR LOOKING AT A LOT OF MONEY AND WANT TO BE PROTECTED AS BEST YOU CAN. ASK FOR REFERENCES.
