Identifying & Valuing Antique Gold Star Pendant - Expert Advice

I have an old locket with green stones on front and the back has a marking of a gold star. any idea of the maker or the value?

Hello Doris,
Without looking at the piece ,its very difficult to know anything of it . Is it Gold  is it silver ? the green stone , is it  cabochon , or facetted ? It could be nephrite , it might be jade  ...there are many possibilities . My speciality is Opal . Im sorry I can be of much assistance to you.
