Why is My White Topaz & Diamond Ring Losing Sparkle? - Expert Advice

Hi!
I have a white topaz and diamond engagement ring and it seems to have lost its sparkle.
When the ring is wet the stones are sparkling but once it dries they become cloudy.
Can you please help as I want the sparkle back :( That is why I fell in love with the ring to start with.
I have tried to brush it with soap and water but does not help once dry.

I cant imagine the diamond losing its luster...? being hardest
substance there is,,, I am not sure about the hardness of the topaz...
generally the loss of luster is do to scratches.....can you find a
gemologist to show the stone or stone cutter..
try calling GIA in carlsbad ca..and they can help you..
if the diamond is valuble...be careful letting it out of your sight so
it wont be switched..GIA can engrace serial number in your diamond...
