Identifying an Unusual Cabochon Ring Stone: Mexican Fire Opal or Boulder Opal?

Question
I have a large cabochon ring with diamonds.  I was told about 20 years ago that it was a Mexican fire opal.  However, since then I have been told it was a boulder opal. None of the information on either of these describes this stone.
It is mostly brown base with intense green and orange fire throughout.
I sure would like to know what it is really.  I saw many several years ago and even recently (on people) but none with the amount of fire mine has.
Thank you.

Answer
Hi Linda ,

Im sorry I cant see a picture there, but if there was I surely could tell you if its a Queensland boulder opal or a mexican fire opal.
Peoples terms are often  confusing , calling it brown when it is a shade of brown or orange when it is  yellow . If you can upload a pic I can tell you straight away . best regards Rod Keady
