Platinum Ring Resizing: Can a Size 5 Ring Be Enlarged to a Size 9?

Hi I'd like to purchase this ebay ring.  I think the stones are channel set on the sides. The ring will be difficult to size but not impossible, most likely the ring will be oval shank when its completed....the 4 sizes up will compromise the integrity of the ring and the diamonds will get loose and have to be tighten or reset depending how the original setting was done...Its a chance.....Platinum requires a lot of heat to solder the new piece back into the shank......please find an experienced jeweler in your area and make sure they know the risk involved. Most likely it will cost 100.00 to have this sized depending on the store.
