QuestionHello,
I have inherited two very different rings.
The first is looks quite old it has a rectangular sapphire in the centre and four diamonds, one on each side of the sapphire, the hallmark is: e&w followed by a crown then 18 then a sideways anchor then a small letter k, then the numbers 1526.
The second ring is a silver colour with one large centre diamond with two smaller diamonds on either side. the Hallmark reads 14K PAT then either an E or F I-C
Many thanks
Janice
AnswerHello Janice and thank you for your inquiry. Your rings sound very nice. The first sounds like it may be British or European and I have listed a hallmark site below that may help you find the mark. It is always easier if you have a visual of the mark when trying to id.
Just copy and paste the below into your browser address field and hit enter:

The other ring appears to be 14K white gold but without more mark information it would be difficult to identify. The PAT indicates that it is probably from the early 1900's.
Sorry I couldn't help more on these but enjoy them and good luck !
Sally
