How Long Does Pickling Solution Last in a Crock Pot?

I just read the item from a new person (like myself) and your explanation helped me also. I just am wondering if the pickling solution in my crock pot is something that lasts a while or do you use it one time or what?  Thank you . God Bless

Bonnie, the pickling solution we use is named Sparex.  We use it for quite a long time, just adding water once in a while to keep the depth about where it was when we started fresh.

If the solution becomes contaminated and leaves a coppery coating on items then it should be replaced with a fresh solution.  After a lot of use the solution may become rather dirty looking and may be replaced at that time.  

Overall, keep the solution close to the original level of concentration by adding water once in a while and keep steel items out of it. You should be able to use it a long time for hundreds of pieces.
