Identifying & Valuing Antique Wedgwood Cameos: A Detailed Guide

Question

Wedgwood broach
I have a Wedgwood cameo that was left to me by my grandmother. It is in a blue box with some sort of decorative vase on it. The cameo pendant is approx 2" wide and is a blue color with a white scene of three women a tree a deer and some sort of alter with something burning on it. There are also what looks like a child by the tree holding another child upside down ( if that makes sense) I can't find it anywhere online, and I was wondering if you knew how old it may be, or its approx value. The setting is silver. I also have a set of wedgwood earrings that are in the same type box. They are also set in silver, and the same blue color with white cameo. The image on them is a woman holding something (maybe leaves) with a child reaching for it. The question about these are the same as the first. Sorry this was so drawn out. I have had a hard time finding information on these. Thank You! I attached pics, unfortunately they aren't very good.

Answer
Hello Angela and thank you for your inquiry. Your cameo is very pretty. Wedgewood used a lot of mythological and historical designs in their jewelry.  There are some cameo books available that picture some of the designs, but I haven't been able to find your design yet.  You might want to browse the following information site for more information.  Just copy and paste it into your browser address field and hit enter:

Here is another site that may give you a better choice of designs to compare your cameo:

Sometimes they carried their dinnerware designs over into the jewelry line.

Hope this helps and enjoy your cameo !
