i have a 1847 rogers brothers spoon that is pure silver i wanted to see what the value was on it

Hi Matt,

I am having a difficult time verifying solid silver flatware by Rogers Bros. in 1847. Both Rogers Bros. and Onieda came out with their silverplate line in 1847 and did not make a solid silver line. Wm Rogers made solid silver in 1847. If it is solid silver it will be stamped "Sterling" if not then it is worth about $5 if it is solid then it would be closer to $100. Verify the quality stamps.
