Understanding Your 10K Gold Ring with CID & Thailand Markings

Over all African Stone   I have a ring my step mom gave me it is marked CID 10k and on the other side it is Marked Thailand, both marked on the inside....is this real, what does CID mean?

The "CID"stamp is normally the makers mark or manufacturers Initials. 10K is the gold quality and Thailand is where it was made. It Looks real from the photo but of course I can't really confirm anything from a photo. I have seen this design many times in Thailand and the stones could be from just about anywhere. Africa is a good guess but some could be from Asia or Australia. Thanks for asking and Good Luck,
