Understanding Infertility & Conception After Previous Pregnancies
QuestionI hope that you might be able to answer my question or know where I might be able to get some answers. My fiancee and I have been trying to get pregnant for almost 9 months. I have had 4 other children and each time it almost seemed like all I had to do was look at my husband and poof another one was on the way. So its very frustrating to have to keep trying. I am wondering I am only 28 so I dont think that I have a problem, my cycles are very regular and 9 times out of ten I knwo the day that I am ovulating due to a slight pain on one side or another, but my fiancee is 39. I dont consider this to mean that he is "older" or even getting older, but am wondering, is it possible that his organs are getting well, older? He does have 4 children, who mostly live with their mother, so I can tell it didnt used to be a problem. Also, while there is absolutely no problem with him getting hard and staying that way. He tends to only "get off" once or twice a week, despite us being highly sexually active. Its nice to know that he wont finish before me, but even when he is trying to "let go and not hold back" it can take two or three hours ( and yes I know I shouldnt be complaining) for him to orgasm, if he does at all. Not sure if that is part of the issue or not. But I want to give any info that might be helpful. thanks!

has your fiancee been to a doctor? maybe he has a low sperm count. the most common diagnostic test for men is semen analysis. other tests may involve determining the man's level of testosterone and other hormones.
maybe its something you both should talk about.
