Early Pregnancy Concerns: No Yolk Sac, Irregular Gestational Sac & Bleeding

Good Afternoon Sir,
I m 6 weeks pregnant but(transvaginal) u/s shows no yolk sac or foetal pole, gestational sac is irregular. i have started with vaginal spotting for 2 days & now since more 2 days i started with vaginal bleeding& pain in same way like my menses.my lmp is 2/10/2010 & UPT is strongly positive.i have not done blood hcg test yet.sir will you plz tell me is this Abortion or what?my pregnancy will be continue or not?m very much worried.......its my first pregnancy.my periods are regular.

I think you have had an abortion because by six weeks the foetal heart should be visible, so if the yolk sac and foetal pole are not there what you must have had is a blighted ovum which will result in an abortion. I am sorry that your pregnancy ended up in an abortion, but do not lose heart. You will get pregnant again.
