QuestionHi,
I'd like some advice on how to best cope with the days leading up to my period please? For about three days before each one comes I feel very tired, nauseous and get severe headaches. It is becoming quite debilitating. The period itself is not too bad, it can be quite painful on the first day but other than that it passes relatively ok. Its the days leading up to it that really weigh me down. Do you have any advice on how I can ease these symptoms?
Thank you
Joanne
Answerjoanne;
premenstrual syndrome[PMS] is a predictable pattern of physical and emotional changes that occur just before menstruation.
no one really knows what causes PMS. its undoubtedly related to cyclic changes in hormone levels.
you could also have undiagnosed depression,which could even be harder to deal with;
your doctor usually can offer relief from some of the symptoms of PMS and help ease your discomfort.
i suggest seeing your GYN doctor;
