Ovarian Cysts: Symptoms, Causes & When to See a Doctor

Question
Hello- I Have ovarian cyst, they started about 2 years ago after my 2nd child.  They have now started interfering with my everyday life with pelvic pain.  However I have started having different symptoms such as feeling full quickly, headaches and some cramping with BM's can this be related to my cyst?  They all seem to happen together?

Answer
Ovarian cysts must be managed based on your clinical history, appearance on imaging studies and results of blood tests. Of course the most important thing would be to rule out a malignancy. Some patients do have vague symptoms with an ovarian mass. It is extremely important to rule out serious diagnosis with your physician. Pelvic pain may occur secondary to numerous sources and each is assessed during an evaluation helping to focus further testing and treatment.
