Early Pregnancy Symptoms: What Could It Be?

Good morning, I got off the BC pill about a month ago.  My husband and I have tried getting pregnant since then.  For the past few weeks, especially the past week and 1/2, I've gotten lots of heartburn, which I never got before!  Stomach aches, nausous, lightheaded, strange food cravings, and my abdomen feels swollen, and heavy.  I am only suppose to start my period next Wednesday.  I took a pregnancy test last nite (couldn't stand the anticipation!) and of course, since its too soon, it came out negative.  Are these signs of pregnancy?  I've never been pregnant before...and I've heard that you're most fertile right AFTER you get off birth control.  Your advice is greatly appreciated!

Hello.  Getting off birth control does not make you any more fertile.  That is a myth.
The symptoms you discribe could be symptoms of pregnacy but they also could be do to a stomach bug.  I have been having the same thing going on after getting over something viral.
You are going to have to wait and see if you get your period as hard as that is.
