Early Pregnancy Bleeding: Is It Normal & What To Expect?

Question
how common is it for a woman to get what seems to be a normal period during her first month of pregnancy? I believe I am pregnant, but got my period on time, but it usually lasts a full seven days with heavy bleeding, this month it was 2 days, and seemed rather normal, i read that smoking can cause vaginal bleeding...can vaginal bleeding be just like a period? I am almost 20 also, so does that play a role in the commonness of this? Also, when will my hcg levels be high enough for a test? I have a clear blue digital test, but it takes 100 miu to read positive...when should I take it? The first came up neg., but that was the day my period started(or what seemed like my period)...thanks in advance

Answer
Sometimes women will have bleeding that they think is their period, what they are really having is implantation bleeding.
It you are pregnant having your period will NOT effect the test.
Your age does not matter much when it comes to this.  If you are wanting to get pregnant or are your hsould not smoke.
Good luck to you.
