Understanding Early Pregnancy Pain: Causes and When to Worry

Question
My question has to do with a mild but noticable shooting pain in the lower abdomine... my spelling is bad sorry... There is no spotting and I have no cramping pains like in PMS, but this worries me because I have miscarried in the past.  Last time there were no signs that I was pregnant accept a lack of my period, this time I have the morning sickness and all of it.  The morning sickness seems to have let up a little, but my tummy feels just generally unwell... Oh, and I am only 5 weeks along.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Answer
Hello Brandy- this is a common complaint and seems to be related to the changes going on in your pelvis as well as the hormones of pregnancy which soften and loosen all your connective tissue. As long as there is no bleeding, relax. All the best- Cheri.
