Post-Ectopic Pregnancy Cycle Recovery: What to Expect

Question
I'm 36 I have 4 children. I had a ectopic pregnancy I had surgery to remove the pregnancy May 13 would you consider that my period? It was around my normal time to see my period. I've been tempting with a basal body thermometer and my tempts have been around 97.6 I'm wondering how soon will my body get back to normal? I also had the shot methotrexate about 2 days b4 my doctor did the surgery (laparoscopy). How long does the methotrexate stay in your system?

Thanks

Answer
Removal of an ectopic pregnancy must be considered like a delivery  rather than like a period. You should get your regular period in around 4-6 weeks following rhe surgery. Then you will probably ovulate two weeks after that and can become pregnant. The methotrexate is already out of your system.
