QuestionHello Cheri,
My wife is entering her 8th month of her pregnancy and the last scan done by our doctor says that she needs to control her sweet intake as she could see that the baby was slightly bigger than usually one should be and that there was a little bit more water around then there should be. She says there is nothing of concern and everything should go normal. But we met another doctor the other day and she said if there was more water then there should be then we must get it checked as there could be some abnormalities, hopefully not. What should we do?
Waiting anxiously for you reply.
AnswerHello Edwin. There is nothing you CAN do except wait- the baby will come when the time is right. Meantime, your wife must stop eating ALL sugar- NO sweets, candy, desserts, ice cream, soda, sugar in tea or coffee, NOTHING with ANY sugar, honey, syrup, etc in it. She can have three pieces of fruit a day but NO MORE. She needs to eat more protein- eggs, meat, fish, low fat dairy, chicken. All the best- Cheri.
