QuestionI am 30 years old with no children. Around August 17th was the first day of my last period.
My husband and I have just started trying to have a child. We have been trying for only two weeks. I have always had a discharge and have been told it is normal. For the last five days I have had no discharge at all, pretty tired and urinating a lot. Do you think this is a good sign? Thank you so much for your help.
AnswerIf you have a normal 28 day cycle (from the first day of your period until the first day of your next period) ovulation occurs on cycle day #14. YOu can only become pregnant if you have unprotected sex on cycle day #13, 14, 15, or 16. If you did become pregnant on one of those days, a pregnancy test will not show a positive result for 14-21 days. If your last period started on August 17, you would not have ovulated until August 30, and could have conceived if you had sex on August 29,30,31, or September 1. If you did, indeed, become pregnant, a pregnancy test will not show a positive result until September 15-22. The best time to take a pregnancy test is seven days after you miss your period. See if you get your period on September 15. If you don't get your period, wait an additional seven days and take a pregnancy test. Good luck.
