Pelvic Pain During Pregnancy: Causes, Relief & What to Expect
QuestionI an 35 and has a 10 year old. My last menstrual period was april 15. I am 22 weeks pregnant and im feeling my pelvic bones a little achy and I feel if they were opening. I didnt feel this for my first pregnancy. Im worried the the baby is in position to be born too soon.
AnswerThere are times when the symphysis pubis (pelvic bones) separate during pregnancy. This can be very uncomfortable. We often recommend a man's belt to hold the bones together. They usually come back together after the baby is born. I would recommend a single-shot X-ray to make the diagnosis. Please consult with your obstetrician.
